I had the opportunity to travel with some of the SIMCO folks to Montreat, NC today to hike up Lookout Mountain. It was a beautiful day, not entirely too hot, though we did work up a sweat. We left at 7:30 AM in order to miss the worst of the heat. The hike was only 0.57 miles, and the internet said it was an average 23% grade, but it felt more like a 50% grade!! Tough hike, but totally worth it!

The coolest part of the hike was that a couple of the guys, Casey and Ryan, carried their guitars up the mountain so that we could have a worship service up there.

Ryan also shared a devotional with us from Joshua chapter 3-4 about the Levites taking a step of faith into the Jordan River in anticipation of God faithfully fulfilling His promises as it relates to that which God called them to. Ryan talks with his hands and looked a bit like he was Bible thumping as he taught us!

It was a great day with great new friends!
